Maher Abuawad – CEO and Lead Skills Coach
Maher is a graduate of SUNYIT where he played College basketball for four years and was mentored by All-Americans and legendary coaches. Maher has degrees in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with minors in Math and Computer Science. While in Upstate NY, Maher has worked and played in King of Kings Summer ProAm League. Additionally, Maher has worked with DKBA (another basketball training program in upstate) where he has worked with Head Trainer Doneilous King. During his four year tenure with DKBA, he has worked with Divison 1 Players such as Tyler Cavanuah, Dajuan Coleman, Brandon Triche, Kris Joseph, James Southerland and others.
Maher started up iBall Academy with a vision combine basketball and community service. Maher has worked contracts with several private High Schools, as well as, Top High School Prospects, Professional players, AND1 Stars such as Killa Kirb, D-League and overseas players who have played in Denmark, Germany, and Morocco. Maher is also a director to MYCC Sports league which started High School/Middle School Basketball leagues for Boys and Girls. Maher is a certified W.I.T.S Personal trainer, also certified in CPR and AED. His passion is everything inclusive of basketball.
